Can someone please tell me where the weekend went? I think it bypassed Taranaki this time around.

I have been going to the gym whenever I can. Well it doesnt feel like a 'gym' in my mind because I dont even like gym but Studio Athletica is pretty different. There's no running machines, theres no cycling and Dean will seriously put you thru your paces. He has a 30m track inside which is all bouncy rubber so you dont damage yourself (unless you dont stop & end up against the wall at the end) weights, boxing bags and a huge open area for you to practice your martial arts, or even have a dance if you are that way inclined.

I started out sprinting on the track with a big rubber band attached to me, thats hilarious and would make a great drinking game. My current training involves kettlebells medicine balls, sprints (and I know no-one can imagine me doing that any time soon!!) and my favourite part - boxing. I think I could be a pro boxer when I'm done with archery haha. If you want to know what a kettlebell is, go see Dean at Studio Athletica, it is behind Portofino up the alley off Gill st, and is a cool place to 'play'. Best of all, it is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you can do your exercise in the middle of the night if you want to!

After much deliberation and decision making (and I am soooo good at making decisions..mmm), I have decided to join the team to go to Shanghai for the World Cup Stage 4 at the beginning of August. So, pending Carole getting me in, I am going to hang out with Anne, Barbara, Tony, Steve & Shaun for ten days! Woo hoo, how exciting, nerve wracking and great.!!

Well, being a website designer doesnt mean you get to do everything, this is the first time I have 'blogged', so bear with me, I will try & make it interesting!

Training was hard this weekend. You have to make the most of the good weather, so even if it wasnt coming together for me, at least I got outside and actually managed to shoot some arrows.  Barbara and I did 300 arrows over the weekend, we shot a full FITA (70,60,50,30m) both days which was great. We had the warmth of the sun on us, and in our faces but as soon as the sun went behind the trees at our amazing range, it was like suddenly 5 degrees colder. Time to get the thermals out again!

My new arrows arrive in the next few days so I am excited about trying them out, I havent shot X10s so it will be good to see how they perform.

Fundraiser looks like its getting itself sorted, my family have been just awesome, and Chrissie for all their organisational skills, and also the Smokeylemon team have been just great about getting to work on this website for me. What more could a girl ask for!
