Day 1- Utah
I will have to make this short and sweet because I am a bit jetlagged, and the heat wears you out big time! Arrived in Ogden, Utah late last night, and when you walk out onto the street, you could swear (but dont, this is mormon country) that you have just walked into an oven on fan bake.
Today we got up and ate, went to the range which is at Weber State University, and driving up to the field you are surrounded by huge mountain ranges and orange desert. We rocked up to the practise field, and the views down the valley are immense. I didnt charge my camera, but i will get some pics up tomorrow. We shot, ate, shot again, then came back to the hotel and took a walk down 25th St, which is quite a famous street:http://www.historic25.com. There were no people on it, all the shops looked like they were closed, but they all have air-con so you have to actually walk in to see anything. And close the door.
We have beakfast at the hotel, then lunch & dinner at the grounds. Our first food in LA was McDonalds, the lady behind the counter had no problem telling everyone that there is another McDonalds in the building so why dont you go there at the top of her lungs, nothing like customer service!
There are statues of horses all painted in some historical moment all over the streets as they celebrate 75 years of Ogden... or something like that. I think I will pay more attention tomorrow.
33 Degrees today, in fact probably hotter where we were.
Did I mention its hot?
