Antalya turkey 2010

Well after 2 days of flying, transferring to the next flight, sleeping, videos, reading and staring out the window - oh and non-stop eating, we arrived in Antalya, Turkey without any drama.

We have been here for like 4 days or so now, and I no longer remember what day it is.  Thats ok!  We have spent the time here getting to know the hotel, its only like huge, hundreds of rooms in like apartment style living. I am sharing with Steph, thats fun, easy and the rooms are a decent size.

There is a lot to do, thats all included in the price of the hotel. The hotel heads down to the beach and you can do whatever you feel like: Sailing, jetskiing, parasailing, swimming, lounge about in the sun, or on hammocks, or head to the waterslides near the pools.  We have to sit in the lobby to get internet access, and its amazing just watching all the different types of people meandering through.

We have been to the town in Antalya, had a walk around the old city. I passed where mum & dad stayed last year, its hard to imagine it has been a whole year since we were here last, nothing has really changed.  Lets hope we can do as well this time round. I know I have improved since then, but so has the competition.

We caught the first bus to the practise range yesterday, which was lucky because it was packed pretty quickly.  The wind was relentless, and I can see that it is going to be a good challenge this week.  It was good to see everyone again, and even better to be shooting.  We also went for a swim yesterday in the sea, and the waves were a little bit bigger than they looked, and we headed out to the blow up loungers out to sea. It was a mission to get there, and I was exhausted! Once we got there, stephen lost his balance and threw us back in the drink, so I thought sod this, and headed back in. That was our exercise for the day!  Went and played soccer after that, and hung out in the hammocks til dinnertime.

There are approx 6 restaurants here in the hotel, most of which are free, so we went italian last nite. It was hard to stay awake after all the excitement of the day, the shooting in the wind, the swimming/battering against the waves and the football, so pizza, then bed.  There was a party going on outside and I managed to drop off some time after 12.30, only to wake up early!! Stink!

Official practise today at 3pm for us.  It is strange having to wait so long in the day, but at least it gives me time to maybe have a swim and cool down beforehand.
