Ranking Round

Today is the day we finally get started.

Yesterday we had official practise, all the compound archers shoot in the afternoon, so we had a long wait. The weather was fun, it was raining and a bit windy, so something to look forward to for practise. We got down there and all the teams arrive in their uniforms, I reckon this is great, its so good to wear 'New Zealand' and seeing all the other countries all officially ready to go, its neat. George runs the tournament, I believe he's american, and starts his announcement 'Welcome to the World Cup in Porec Croatia' with great enthusiasm. Then he runs thru the basic format, and cranks up the music, and the whole tournament begins for me.

I look to my left and right, and the Worlds best archers are all around me. Its an awesome feeling to be able to stand there and chat with these top shooters whom I have great respect for. I managed to acquire another country's Team top which I am stoked to have, I better not say too much in case someone reads it and I get in trouble!

We practised for 3 hours, so ready for the today today.  I am on target 13, which I prefer to think of as a lucky number, and am on B spot.  There are 3 people to a target A,B,C and I am shooting with KAUR Gagandeep (India) and VAN CASPEL Inge (Nederlands).  Looking forward to it, lets see how it all goes today.
