Finally we are home, and getting some rest and good kiwi food.

We arrived at the airport around 4am, but our flight wasnt til 8. It was ridiculous to be there so early, but now we know why.  Indians do things in 'Indian' time. There isnt any urgency about anything, and you might find one guy working, and three others watching him over his shoulder. We waited in customs in the officials/diplomats line for maybe an hour because the man at the counter decided to walk away for 45 minutes after he saw the queue of people. We were happy to get on the plane!

5 hours to singapore, and then a swim, a look around and on the plane again for 9.5 hours to auckland.  My only sleep was a couple of hours delhi-singapore, and the longer flight I just couldnt settle. Landed in Akl, had a 3 hour wait til NP flight, and I was really feeling pretty sick by this time. It was great to land in NP, and see De, and my family again. I have to admit I was worried about India, but as the days went on I think I was feeling more secure about the place.

I have slept for about 18 hours now, just woken up.  Looking back on the last week it has been a huge cultural experience, and unimagineable experience on the shooting line.  My final placing was 17th I think, and this wasnt what I had planned, but it is also the first international of this year, and it was really really great to see what were are up against over the next six months of shooting.  I learnt so much from the more experienced archers, and I have great respect for them, they are inspiring and have given me more determination to be one of them. I have a lot of work to do, but I feel pretty lucky that I have had that opportunity thus far.  Bring on Croatia.

And that was India!
