Ranking Round

I was confident and keen to shoot this morning, hoping I would do ok. hmmm.

It was great to finally get into some real shooting, and I was so eager to get going and to shoot well. The sun was out, and the wind was still gusty and abundant, but not like it has been the past few days.  I was on target 25 with Natalia Londono from Colombia and Gladys Willems from Belgium, whom were both really nice people. started off at 70m and I shot pretty average for a few ends and then my arrows started going right. It took me to mid-way thru 60m to realise that my sight windage was moving, and so at lunch we had to try & fix it. It wasnt going to go so we ended up taping it together so it wouldnt move and I could shoot with it. I had to adjust manually to the wind and pretty much struggled for the rest of the day against wind, sunshine, shade & aiming. It was tough going.  I am disappointed with the way I shot today, but my form felt ok. I ended up 68th out of 83. I can only hope that things improve over the coming week, and that I can shoot well in the matchplay.  Steph did really well, ended up 40th and Linda 48th. There wasnt many points in between the bunch at all really.

The guys did really really well, Steve ended up 5th after being in the top 3 all the way in, and Shaun also did really well, ending up 9th, he just kept climbing the ladder all afternoon. Trevor did well too, 85th out of 112.

Both teams made it thru to the teams matchplay which was great, so we'll be keen to do well in that.

We have 2 days off now, stephen florence shoots day after tomorrow, and am sure he'll go well.
